The hustle and bustle of build season is in full gear at Bicknell Racing Products. While the company is busy during the summer months, it is the fall and winter months when it is all hands on deck around the shop.
“As of this week we have started building chassis number 70 for 2017” says co- owner Randy Williamson. “We started building our 2017 cars on August 15-2016. Tim Fuller started it off on August 25 at Rolling Wheels, Vic Coffey August 26 at Brewerton Speedway, Matt Sheppard September 1 at Lebanon Valley and Larry Wight September 3 @ Fulton Speedway. All drivers picked up feature wins within a week of debuting their 2017 chassis’ and we couldn’t be happier”.
If that’s not enough to prove how busy Bicknell Racing Products has been over the past few months, their delivery dates will tell the rest of the story. “Our building schedule currently for our 2017 cars has us backed up until March 11-2017” says Williamson,” but we do have some dealers that have dates available with car purchases and you can contact those dealers directly in your area to find out dates”.
There are also many customers looking for used cars, and Bicknell Racing Products can help customers with that as well. Customers looking for used cars, check out www.bicknellracingproducts.com in the download section, which is updated regularly. If you are looking to sell your car, you can e-mail your requests to tech@bicknellracingproducts.com with details on your car. All cars will be posted on the website until sold.
With business steadily increasing, it has allowed for new employment opportunities as well. “The body department is working very well " explains Body Shop Manager Shayne Pierce. “We have a few new faces but everyone is working great together. The atmosphere in the body department is very positive and we are working hard, shipping cars out every day”. Pierce is the lead hand of 3 full time and 2 part time employees working in the body shop.
The guys and gals just aren’t busy hanging bodies, customers are steadily calling placing orders for new body panels and kits for the new racing season ahead. “If you are looking to place an order for any new panels I would place your order them sooner than later” says Pierce. “If you are an American customer, you can call BRP USA or order online. If you are a Canadian Customer you can call us directly, all orders are forwarded from the sales staff to myself”. One thing Pierce noted is that if you are ordering replacement panels, please ensure you give the sales staff your chassis serial number. That way the body shop staff can ensure you are getting the correct parts for your chassis.
The Machine Shop, along with co-owner Bob Slack, have been steadily working on new products which will cater to customers’ needs and wants. Many of Bicknell Racing Products parts are based off customer feedback and items which Bicknell Racing Products believes would better its customers racing experience.
