Although Mother Nature may have stopped many tracks from
going forward with this past weekends events, it was great weather for racing
at Archerfield Speedway in Brisbane Australia.
David Clark in the Bicknell Racing Products, Mack Trucks,
PWR Performance Products number 5 raced his way to a long awaited victory lane
in Brisbane Australia this past Saturday. Clark, who had come out of the gate
strong and won his heat race, started on the outside pole. Through the opening
laps of the race, Clark hung on to second, holding off some steep competition.
At the half way point, Clark was able to get around Ray Eggins, who had held
the top spot front the drop of the green flag, and never looked back. On a late
race restart, Eggins would challenge Clark for the lead, but it was not enough,
Clark had the better car, launching back into the lead and claiming the
checkers. ”We finally got the monkey off our back” said the former Queensland
Champion, whose 2017 season went out on a high note.
Just was it seemed Mother Nature was going wave her unruly wand and wipe out racing for the entire Northeast this past weekend, one Track shone brightly on this side of the pond. Bridgeport Speedway in Swedesboro New Jersey was able to get their show in on Sunday night, making it the only track to run. Milford
Delaware’s Jeremy Harrington picked up his first win in the Sportsman class in
his Blue Hen Racing sponsored number 30. Harington held off a stacked field of
drivers, laying down a dominating performance to capture his first win of the
season.
Congratulations to our customers on another great weekend of racing!
