November 22, 2017 - The first annual Northeast Trade Show
was held this past weekend in Syracuse, N.Y. and Bicknell Racing Products was
on hand to meet and greet with its customers, display new items and send the 2018
Bicknell auction car to a new home.
“It’s a lot of hard work leading up to the show,” said Randy
Williamson, co-owner of Bicknell Racing Products. “Our team on both sides of
the border work tirelessly for weeks leading up to the show deciding what parts
to bring, what parts to display, getting the auction car done, and so forth.
It’s not just a last minute thing, it takes weeks to prepare for and I think
our team did a great job.”
Everybody was happy with the attendance as well. With the
show being shortened to just Friday and Saturday, it sure did not have any ill
effects as thousands of people poured into the fairgrounds to experience the
revamped trade show.
“Jeremy did a great job by all accounts,” noted Williamson.
“The feedback from other vendors was positive and we are looking forward to seeing
the show grow next year.”
This year’s highlights included seeing the auction car being
sold to Jeff Taylor, a former Teo Pro car owner that has come on board with
Bicknell. Bicknell Racing Products and the entire team is excited to have him
as part of the racing family.
Billy Van Pelt’s car was part of the Bicknell Racing
Products display, and what an eye catcher it was. From the brand new chassis
and body, to the fluorescent orange paint color, there was no missing the Bicknell
area at this years show.
Bicknell Racing Products cars were not limited to their
area. Mat Williamson’s car was on display in the Integra booth as well, sporting
a new chassis and body.
Sales this year at the show were fantastic. Bicknell sold
seven cars to some returning customers and some new customers. “That’s what
this show is all about,” explained Bob Slack, part of the ownership team at
Bicknell Racing Products. “It’s about getting out in front of the customers and
putting a name to faces, congratulating them on their racing season, answering their
set-up or parts questions and also catching up with those customers that we
don’t get to see all the time. It’s nice.”
It’s safe to say that Bicknell Racing Products was seen and
heard at the Northeast Trade Show.
The team will now set its sights on the Performance Racing
Industry Trade Show (PRI) on December 7-9th in Indianapolis, Indiana.
